I was one of the winner's in your 20th anniversary sweepstakes. I just want to thank you for the trip. We had a blast and your Waikiki restaurant was fantastic. Thanks!

In 1994 my family and I visited Maui for the first time. While staying at the Ritz Carlton in Kapalua we dined at Roy’s in Kahana and enjoyed our delicious and unforgettable meal. We were told that Roy Yamaguchi was opening his new restaurant Nicolina's named after his daughter. On their opening day we dined at Nicolina's and met the infamous Roy Yamaguchi. Pictures were taken to remember that day. Roy told us that soon he will be opening a restaurant in Newport Beach. It's been our favorite restaurant since. As always I order my favorite dessert Chocolate soufflé. So, thank you Roy for reminding us of Maui whenever we dine at your restaurants from Newport Beach to Las Vegas.

My husband and I LOVE ROY’S we just wish we could experience Roys some day in Hawaii. We celebrate both of our birthdays every year at Roy’s our kids love it too. Roy’s has the best seafood in Chicago. The butterfish is wonderful, as is everything at Roy’s.

Cindy Kendrick, Burbank, Illinois

I love Roy’s since the first time we dined at the Tampa location. Since then, most of my long weekends or short vacations are planned around whether there's a Roy’s Restaurant in the vicinity. I only regret that we don't have one in the Miami area.

Lydia Calvo-Florentino, Coral Gables, Florida

We attended the last anniversary gala and had a wonderful time. The food and wine pairings were impeccable! Chef Yamaguchi greeted us and made our party feel warmly welcome. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine. The live music and dancers were fabulous. Roy’s is our premier destination when we go downtown for shows and other events in Philadelphia. Thank you Chefs and Staff members for making each visit a special occasion.

My wife and I began our lives together in 1988 and celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary this year at the Roy’s in Waikiki with wonderful friends and family! We have been to several Roy’s over the years and have met Roy on various occasions. Roy and all the staff are definitely Ohana to us! What a joy to have a place to not only dine but to "come home to". We love Hawaii and whenever we need to feel like we are there we visit our Roy’s down the street in Plano. Roy, congratulations and mahalo for all that you do!

Glenn and Lori Silva, Plano, Texas

Our vacation home at Kapalua Bay, Maui, gave us easy access to Roy’s Kahana Grill which you can be sure we took full advantage of! We've visited the Roy’s in Manhattan, Scottsdale and LaJolla and are frequent diners at the Chicago location, our home base. Mahalo Roy, for bringing Hawaii to us wherever we are. Happy 20th Anniversary!

Eve Niimi, Highland Park, Illinois

My wife and I were on our anniversary getaway when we had a flat tire. We stopped to get the tire fixed and saw an ad for Roy’s in a magazine. We called and were able to get a reservation. Our flat tire helped us to experience the best dinner we have ever enjoyed together in our 17 years. What a fantastic dining adventure! Keep up the good work; we look forward to spending every anniversary with you from now on!

Chad Oglesby, Lubbock, Texas

My husband and I met at University of Hawaii-Manoa. We married at sunset on Magic Island at Ala Moana Beach Park in November 1979. Michael and I have enjoyed celebrating our anniversary by taking wonderful advantage of your fabulous special wine dinners the past several years. It makes us feel like we're back in the islands. Thank you Roy!

Carol McKittrick-Mesco, Oak Lawn, Illinois

I should have realized from the onset that this would be a great run since my Dad's name is Roy. I have eaten at Roys from the Island to Naples and Chicago is presently home for me and the most frequented location. I am thrilled to say that the staff and management continue to assist me whenever I need to plan a special event or make a reservation for a customer. To date the most memorable was the 50th Birthday Celebration in Bonita Springs for my dear friend and college roommate Leslie. Everyone gathered from all over the country and we had the best weekend. The final evening we all dined in the private space at Bonita and enjoyed a wonderful meal. Bravo Roys! I have not been disappointed yet. As far as the food and ambiance Hawaii is still my favorite location, but who does not like being on the island. Continued Blessings!!

I discovered Roy’s from an ad in Sky magazine on a trip to Dallas, Texas on Delta Airlines. There was something about the ad that made me want to visit this restaurant. I didn't visit in Texas, but the minute I got back to Atlanta I made it a priority. I am now a walking ad for Roy’s service and atmosphere and have taken friends and family there for any and all occasions. Roy’s is my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. See you all soon!

My girlfriends, Freda and Teresa, have been going out with me nearly every Friday for dinner for four years, starting shortly after Freda's eleven year old daughter had a stroke and died. We spend quality time as friends after a long week at work at our respective jobs. Both Teresa and I have three kids each, so that's our treasured break-time away from responsibilities. I had read a newspaper article that Roy’s opened in Pasadena, in the Downstown News, I think. It happened that we went one Friday, and the restaurant was booked up, even at the bar! So, we made reservations for a Friday, two weeks later. My piano teacher had just gone to Roy’s with a group of friends, and she took pictures of her group's dinner, putting it in an album in Facebook, so I saw the delicious food and asked her for her recommendations of what to order. Two of us chose different items in the prix fixe meal, as recommended, and the other ordered a main course of scallops/shrimp, and dessert (bread pudding). The dishes were all delicious! We tried samples of each other's plates, and out of all of the many, many restaurants that we've attended during these four years, Roy’s is the best. We give Roy’s an "A+" for taste, presentation and service. Thanks to the staff who took our group picture and were so friendly in explaining the menu.

Roy’s is a place of good memories. The first time I went there was for my prom when I lived in (Pebble Beach) California and it was beyond excellent. A group of 22 could not have been better served. Not only were the servers efficient and friendly but not a single order was wrong nor was anything sent back! That's amazing since not everyone likes seafood. I didn't know it could get any better until I went to Oahu and ate at the Roy’s near Hawaii Kai! It was the perfect blend of flavor to make any mouth water. The most recent time I visited Roy’s was in Austin for my birthday, and though nothing beat the views in California and Hawaii, the chocolate mousse cake dessert definitely made it memorable!

My name is Lisa Moses and I opened the first Roy’s in Hawaii Kai working as a server. When I moved back to Texas in 1991 I took with me and still carry with me some of the most cherished friendships and fantastic memories of my life. Me and all the other talented people that were there from day one are and always will be Ohana! Twenty years later, I am 47, live outside San Antonio, Texas and am truly grateful to Roy for believing in a Texas greenhorn and giving me the opportunity of a lifetime. God willing and the creek don't flood; my husband and I are going to the celebration dinner in Austin on 11-11-08. There I intend to raise a glass and say a toast to the Ohana that I miss and think of often. Thank you Roy for your patience and friendship. And think of me next time you here Patsy Cline sing "Crazy” Lots of love always, “Crazy" Lisa Moses from Texas. See ya’ll Soon!!!!

Lisa Moses, San Antonio, Texas

My husband and I first went to Roy’s, when it opened on Kauai. We loved Roy’s and celebrated all the holidays, anniversary and frequented Roy’s often. They used to take pictures at the table and we enjoy looking at the. I was first introduced to the chocolate soufflé, which I can never forget. We appreciated Roy’s, especially after Iniki. We live in California, near family but go to Roy’s in San Francisco and Spanish Bay, as often as we can for the wonderful soufflé and wonderful food. We are so glad that you are here in California!!

Raymond and Diane Reeves, Fresno, California

I've always wanted to try out Roy’s, so I decided to go for my birthday, and this is by far the best restaurant I've ever been to. The service and food is out of this world, more restaurants should take note. I will come back for my next birthday for sure.

Melinda, Garden Grove, California

When traveling with my very significant other, ROY, we always go to Roy’s when in a city that is fortunate enough to have a Roy’s Restaurant. We are not allowed to go to Roy’s unless it is with each other -- it's tradition!! Many, many fond memories, and more to come (I hope)!!

Karen, Lexington, Kentucky

We have had so many fond memories at the various Roy’s locations throughout the US. It's the place we love to go when we want to "pretend" we are back on vacation in Hawaii. Thank you for all of the wonderful years, full of fabulous meals!

Gina & Tim Balint, San Clemente, California

Aloha! I love Roy’s. The first time I went to Roy’s was in Poipu in Kauai and it was so amazing. My husband took me to Roy’s for our 1st Anniversary and the fish was the best and da bomb. I told my husband I would love to meet Roy’s some day. So I want to say Congratulations Roy on your 20 years of making your dream and food the best. Keep up the good work chefs!!

Landa Uilani Delos Reyes, Waianae, Hawaii

I fell in love with Roy’s from my very first dining experience there 6 years ago in Phoenix. Since that time it has been my mission to go to EVERY Roy’s in the United States. So far I've made it to the one in Maui, Las Vegas, Chicago, & the multiple locations in Arizona. I look forward to my future excursions; wherever they may be. Thanks Roy - I only wish I knew about you sooner. But no worries - I have no problem making up for lost time!

Renee Espinosa, Mundelein, Illinois

Roy’s is absolutely by far as close to Hawaii as one can get! My husband and I were married on Makena Cove, Maui and stayed in Kihei in 2006 - every year we say we'll go back, until that happens, every November (and many visits in between) you'll see us at Roy’s! It's a beautiful place full of beautiful food and people! Mahalo Roy for bringing our Maui to Jacksonville Beach! Aloha!

Chuck & Christina Perry, Jacksonville Beach, Florida

This was probably the best evening we ever had in a Roy’s restaurant. It took place at Roy’s - Honolulu (Hawaii Kai) with dear friends from Hawaii. She was King Kamehameha's granddaughter and he a retired naval officer. We took them there and Roy was cooking that night. Roy came by our table and we all introduced ourselves and he in turn told us they were opening a new restaurant on Maui. Of course, the next week we were in Maui and checked it out. The night at Hawaii Kai continued for about 3 hours and our friends from Hawaii thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They talked about it many times in the years since about what a wonderful night it had been. Great memories last a lifetime!

Jeff Smith, Monrovia, California

My daughter and son-in-law were visiting us and we went to Roy’s to celebrate their arrival. My daughter had a pineapple martini disappointed that she wasn't pregnant as yet (she never drinks). We found out 1 week later she was pregnant with our first grandchild! We are sure it was that pineapple martini and great dinner we had at Roy’s that made the difference!

Marilyn Krug, Rancho Mirage, California

When I made the reservation for the Orlando location, I told the person who took the reservation that I was on the Roy’s Tour (this location would be the 8th location I have visited). WE were treated like VIP's. The table was set with an elaborate presentation. The wait staff was the most attentive out of all the Roy’s I've been to. My parents are on special diets, and the chef was attentive to their needs. It was a wonderful experience. Thank you Orlando!!

Lisa Jones, Barrington, Illinois

Our entire family loves Roy’s. We were living in Hawaii 14 years ago on the island of Oahu. A couple we knew from Virginia was coming to Maui, Hawaii for vacation. We island hopped over to Maui to visit them. That first night our friends asked someone at their hotel to recommend a restaurant. They sent us to a place in Lahina. The food was great and the kids loved it, too. We returned to Oahu and our friends went back to the mainland. A little time past, my friend sent me an article about a restaurant called Roy’s. She added a note saying it is on our island. (We thought the restaurant on Maui belonged to Roy’s sister.) From that day Roy’s has been or favorite place to eat. We moved back to the states and missed being able to go to Roy’s. Being military, we were asked to move to Guam. YES, a Roy’s at the Hilton. I was in Heaven. Needless to say, we introduced many a person to Roy’s. As we continued to move about, we moved to Jacksonville. YES, another Roy’s. We have visited Roy’s on Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Hawaii (the Big Island), Guam, Orlando (you must see Roy’s if you visit Mickey), and Jacksonville. On our recent visit to Jacksonville Beach Roy’s we were able to meet Roy; what a thrill for me. We found out from Roy that the first restaurant we ate in was Roy’s daughter's, not his sister's. Thank you, Roy, and Congratulations on 20 years. We look forward to many more!

Jim and Robin Haigh, Fernandina Beach, Florida

My husband and I went to Roy’s for the first time on our Honeymoon in Kauai. We celebrate our anniversary at our Austin, Texas Roy’s in remembrance. The warm atmosphere, quiet elegance, and personal service make for a cherished memory. Congratulations on your 20th Anniversary Roy’s and I hope to continue to celebrate with you for years to come.

Brandy and Paul Meyer, Austin, Texas

My husband and I lived in Honolulu, and for years Roy’s was a perennial favorite restaurant of ours. We are now on the mainland, and in one of our trips back, we visited the beautiful Roy’s on Maui. 9 months later, our gorgeous son Graham was born! We now celebrate at Roy’s in Arizona on every Mother's Day and Father's Day. It has become a great tradition for our family!

Carolyn & Warren, Scottsdale, Arizona

A couple of years ago, we brought our daughter (then 13 years old) to a dinner at Roy’s. Roy’s is her favorite restaurant, since it reminds her of our trip to Hawaii. When I made the reservation I was asked if it was a special occasion. I told the hostess that we were celebrating my daughter earning a "straight A" report card. When we arrived, the table had been specially decorated. My daughter had a special congratulatory page inserted into her menu, and her dessert was personalized, also congratulating her. Several of the waiters and managers came to the table to congratulate her as well. Thanks so much for making this unusual celebration so special for her. It's a memory she will never forget!

Mindy Moss, Maitland, Florida

Absolutely the best experience I have ever had. My wife and I were celebrating our 1 year anniversary and everyone in the place made us feel so special. They had a special menu insert congratulating us. The manager also brought us a complimentary glass of champagne and a bowl of ice cream that has been specially prepared with the words "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate. They went so far above and beyond! IT WAS AWESOME! I will go back and continue to recommend this great place to everyone I know! Spectacular!

Chris Lewis, Austin, Texas

I took my parents to Newport Beach to celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary and they both said, as we were leaving the restaurant after 4 hours, that it was the best meal that they have ever had.

Andrew Tenzer, Lake Forest, California

My husband has taken me to many locations Chicago, California, Arizona, Orlando and New York. We live in New Jersey and unfortunately some of the exciting dining events do not include NY. It is a pleasure to dine at Roy’s for all our special occasions and some just for fun.

D. Walerstein, Elizabeth, New Jersey

My husband and I met and then married on November 11, 1983 in Hawaii where we were living and working. We later moved away and are traveling back to Hawaii to celebrate our 25th anniversary. When I received your email regarding your 20th anniversary event I thought the perfect pairing was to celebrate our 25th and your 20th on Kauai where we honeymooned long ago.
